Monoxivent Press Release

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE, JUNE 2, 2009
MONOXIVENT LANDS CONTRACT WITH FORT LEE FOR INDOOR AIR CLEANING, VEHICLE EXHAUST REMOVAL

ROCK ISLAND, IL - Eighty-two Monoxivent systems are in production to remove vehicle exhaust fumes from maintenance facilities at Fort Lee (VA).

The XL Hose Reels will feature high-temperature exhausting hose, rated to 1200-degrees F, spooled on 24" and 36" diameter motor-operated drums.  The XL-24's and XL-36's range from 3' to 7' in width; the largest reel holds 60' of 18" diameter hose.  The XL reel is among the largest systems used for this type of application in the industry.  The XL's attach to military vehicle exhaust pipes using stainless steel clamping tailpipe adapters.  The exhausted fumes travel through a ducted system using an industrial exhaust fan.

"Indoor air quality is a concern in workplace environments, especially in maintenance facilities," said Erik Swanson, National Sales Manager. "The US Military has focused on sustainment, safety, and energy conservation; this has led to a number of projects throughout the country.  Monoxivent is proud to be part of the team of manufacturers focusing on this effort."

In addition to the XL reels, Monoxivent is producing five high-temperature insulated exhaust stack bases for M1 Tanks at Fort Lee.

Monoxivent's parent company, Crawford Co., played an integral role in the production with its' three laser cutting centers and welded fabrication department.  Monoxivent's Richmond, VA, based sales representative, Shultz & James, played a key role in securing the contract.

Monoxivent looks to continue similar efforts with its' Military Sales Division.  The "Safe Warrior" marketing campaign is kicking off for the company and includes the launch of safe-warrior.com.

Monoxivent is a leader in fume source capture and indoor air cleaning.  The company goes to market in the United States and Canada through a network of distributors.

Fort Lee is a U.S. Army post and headquarters of the U.S. Army Combined Arms Support Command, U.S. Army Quartermaster Center and School, the ArmyLogisticsManagementCollege, and the U.S. Defense Commissary Agency.  A U.S. Army Forces Command unit, the 49th Quatermaster Group is also stationed at Fort Lee.
